Redefining Our Purpose

It’s not every day you wake up and kill off your business.

But today is that day for Syncresis. Syncresis is becoming “Ideas-Led Growth.”

Why?

– Because our previous value proposition of thought leadership is no longer enough to help companies make new thinking be the heart of their strategy, sales, and marketing

– Because companies that generate new ideas thrive on new ideas and always keep moving in the direction of better

– Because only content creators and content platform owners care about “content.” Everyone else cares about meaning

– Because we want to start a movement where ideas genuinely matter

– Because after 17 years, I’m tired of saying and spelling a name that people struggle to pronounce correctly

I still believe in the concept of Syncresis (satisfying competing priorities in ways that benefit the whole), even if the name is a bit severe and unapproachable. But Ideas-Led Growth is the simpler, lighter, and truer concept we’re pursuing. Syncresis also will have an after-life as the legal and financial entity behind Ideas-Led Growth.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be changing our public face to reflect the new name and brand. The first step was renaming our newsletter, The Graceful Thought Leader, reflected in today’s issue (link below). It also explains more about the concept and the model we’re using to help clients achieve and sustain ideas-led growth.
