Time for a hard truth: most of the tips and tricks you read regarding the algorithm of a social platform are magical thinking AT BEST.
More often, they are charlatanism. People take advantage of your desire to make uncontrollable forces seem predictable and manageable. Because lack of control feels precarious and scary.
They are also ideological signals. They tell you, “Oh, if you are only a good kid, if you just do these things, you’ll be safe, included, etc. You just have to keep coming back for more.”
Sounds like bad news, but in fact, it’s good news.
No one says you have to make yourself dependent on them in the first place. If your revenue depends on algorithm conformity, just wait for the day the rules change. You don’t have a strategy. You have a dependency. But you can prospect and sell without them.
You can try to reduce dependency by having more of your own platforms. Ideally, at least one self-hosted thing.
And finally, you can do whatever the hell you want on social. Post at any time of day you want. Put your link in the post or in the comments. Ignore or follow what people tell you is the right way and sell you as the right way, sometimes, always, or never.
It’s simple casino wisdom. Back away from slots and tables when you’re never going to win. Don’t listen to creepy casino lizards with systems. Screw them and unscrew yourself. The air outside is fresher.
